Here is a brief bio of our Teaching: Approaches and Methods module writer Charis Tarbett:
Charis Tarbett is an ALT in Kagoshima prefecture. She moved to Japan in 2015, after teaching English Language Arts (Gifted and SPED) at the junior high school level in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned an MS in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests include new media, educational technologies, and cross-cultural education. She has held workshops in Japan and the United States on pedagogy and educational theories, as well as best practices and classroom management. She will return to the United States in 2018 to pursue a PhD in Curriculum and Pedagogy.
